There are two ways to enable our live chat feature, both via the PureClarity Admin site.
Method 1: Setup page
Click on 'Chat' in the admin menu and then select 'Setup'.
The very top setting on this page controls whether chat is enabled:
Click the toggle button, which will then turn green, and then hit "Save chat setup" to enable chat.
Method 2: Conversations page
Click on 'Chat' in the admin menu and then select 'Conversations'.
If live chat is not enabled you will see a button which will ask you to enable the feature:
Effects of enabling chat
The immediate effect of enabling chat is as follows.
1: The chat bubble will appear on the frontend of your site
2: The conversations page in the PureClarity admin will become active, meaning you can see any incoming conversation
To disable live chat, go to the Chat setup page as outlined in Method 1 above, then
Click on the status setting toggle button, which will then turn grey. Then hit "Save chat setup" to disable chat.
Effects of disabling chat
The chat button will disappear from the frontend of your site and the conversations page will become inactive and you will no longer be able to access previous conversations.
