If you choose the automated recommender plan, you will be shown a wizard to guide you through setting up PureClarity.

Click Next to start the wizard. First you must choose the style of recommendation to show. In the automated recommendation plan, PureClarity comes with a selection of pre built styles to choose from. On the personalisation suite, you can edit the template yourself if required.

Once you have selected a template, you will need to enable PureClarity. How to do this depends on the type of theme you are using.

We recommend completing the step before moving to the next step in the wizard.

2.0 THEME INSTALLATION

Ciick Enable PureClarity next to the 2.0 theme you want to install PureClarity on.

Ensure the PureClarity Script is enabled. When enabled PureClarity will track customers activity on your site, and can show personalised recommendations.

In the PureClarity wizard, click Next.

The final step is to add PureClarity automated recomemndation blocks to your theme.

Watch the short video, and then in Shopify add 1 or more blocks.

We recommend adding 1 or 2 blocks to the following pages at a minimum:

Homepage: Show new visitors your trending and best selling products. Return visitors will see a personalised selection of products tailored to them.

Product Page: Show related and alternative products. This helps your customers find the products they want faster, and provides vaulable upsell opportunites as well.

Basket Page: Show relevant products based on the customers basket. Increase your average order value by effortlessly upselling products.

VINTAGE THEME INSTALLATION

PureClarity automatically adds the "zone snippet" into the Product, Collection, Collection list, Cart and Search pages when you install on a Vintage theme.

Zone snippets are the areas on your site where you want to show PureClarity content. PureClarity adds our zone snippet into the following files in a theme:

templates/product.liquid
templates/collection.liquid
templates/list-collections.liquid
templates/cart.liquid
templates/search.liquid

The zone snippets are added to the bottom of each file. If you need to move where the zone snippets are, or add more zones, we recommend that you make a copy of your current store theme before starting this. This allows you to be confident of how PureClarity will look before you use it on your live site.

To make a copy of your Theme, go to:

Online Store -> Themes

Your current theme will be shown. Click the “Actions” button and click “Duplicate”.

To add zones to other pages find where in your liquid templates you want to show the zones and add the following snippet:

{% include 'pureclarity-zone' %}

Once you are happy with your changes make your theme the live theme on your site. To do this:

  1. Go to “Online Store” -> “Themes”

  2. On your copied theme, click on “Actions” and then “Publish”

COMPLETING THE SETUP

Once you have added the blocks PureClarity will begin to show recommendations. Please note that it can take some time to sync your products data. The recommendations will improve over the first 24 hours.

In PureClarity, complete the wizard and you will see the dashboard.

PureClarity shows realtime stats about how well your recomendations are performing. You can easily adjust the time period.

From the menu you can change some settings.

Auto Recommenders: Pick the template to use for your product recommendations.

Shopify Themes: Manage the themes PureClarity is installed on.

Configuration: Manage some common settings such as your currency and timezone.

Recommenders: Alter the titles for the different types of recomemndations. Useful if your site is not in English for example.

Billing: See details of when you will next be billed via Shopify. You can also change your plan here.

Profile: Edit your name and email address.

Help & Support: Access our customer support.

Note that you can use the "Shopify Theme Manager" to remove any automatically inserted assets and zones. For any zones that you have manually added, these will need to be manually removed. To do this go to the “Online Store” section of the Shopify Admin, click the “Actions” button and select “Edit Code”. Go to any file that contains PureClarity snippets (files that have been edited can be identified by looking for the small purple circle next to the name of the file) and remove the snippet from the file, remembering to save after each edit.

Finally, go to the "Settings" in your Shopify Admin, and click on, "Apps and sales channels". Find the PureClarity app and click the "remove" button to the far right of the application name, as shown in the following image:
