Templates

To create a message, go to On-site messages and click New message. Pick a template, or Start from scratch. Each template comes with its format, trigger and audience already set. Text in square brackets, such as [Your offer], is a placeholder: the editor marks each one, and you can’t publish until you’ve replaced them all. Below, browsing pages means product pages, category pages and product listing pages.

Keep visitors who are leaving

Template	What it does	Set up as
Exit offer	Offers a reason to stay, such as a discount code, to a visitor about to leave.	Popup on browsing pages, opened by exit intent on desktop or mobile.
Basket reminder	Shows a returning visitor the products they left in their basket.	Teaser tab on the home page and browsing pages, 3 seconds after the page loads, for visitors who left a basket in the last 7 days and haven’t bought since.

Help visitors find something

Template	What it does	Set up as
Picks for you	Shows 3 products PureClarity recommends for this visitor on this page.	Slide-in on browsing pages, opened by exit intent or after 30 seconds idle.

If PureClarity has nothing to recommend, or the visitor’s basket is empty for a basket reminder, the message isn’t shown.

Raise order value

Template	What it does	Set up as
Free delivery progress	Shows how much more to spend for free delivery, and updates as the visitor adds to their basket.	Bar at the top, opened when the visitor adds to their basket. Shown on every page; after the visitor closes it, not again for a day.

Enter your free delivery amount in your store’s base currency. Shoppers using another currency see it converted, unless you set an amount for their currency.

Promote an offer

Template	What it does	Set up as
Promo code	Gives visitors a discount code, with a button to shop.	Slide-in on every page, after 10 seconds.
Favourite brand offer	Makes an offer on the brand a returning visitor looks at most, and names it: “Love Acme?”	Popup on browsing pages after 10 seconds, for visitors who have viewed the brand in at least 2 visits.
Flash sale	Counts down to the end of a sale.	Bar at the top of every page. After the visitor closes it, not again for a day. It disappears when the sale ends.

Create discount codes in your store first; the message shows the code, it doesn’t create it.

Tell visitors something

Store notice	Delivery delays, closures or shipping news.	Bar at the top of every page. After the visitor closes it, not again for a week.

Learn what visitors want

Template	What it does	Set up as
One-question survey	Asks one question with 2 to 6 answers. Visitors answer with one tap.	Slide-in for returning visitors on their third page, shown once.

Each visitor’s latest answer is kept. To show messages or campaigns to visitors by their answer, create a segment with the On-site messages condition, Visitor’s latest answer is. See Creating segments.
